...on your article in the latest Robot Magazine.· I never pictures legions of Penguin Robots running around with capes being super-heroes until I saw your article.· Very nice.

Thank you Chris!

Your kind words are appreciated. I hope every robotics enthusiast will
have an opportunity to see the article in Robot Magazine, and that it may
spark new ideas for hobbyists working with Parallax robots and other
robot versions.

Apparently, overseas locations are still awaiting magazine delivery.
Robot magazine will also have some online presentation at their web site
with Penguin robot software available for download. Don't miss the free
downloads!

They are still working on the electronic magazine version - May-June
is expected to appear soon.

It took about a year to finalize the project.

I'm sure you never saw the Legion of Superhero Penguin robots before.
They just went public for the first time.

Every year, on the 4th of July, we hold a big celebration and massive
parade. As you can see in the photo, about 2,916 Penguin Superheros
joined in the march, arriving from all over the world.

Wearing superhero suits designed with their countries symbolic
flags, they marched around the Plaza. The crowd cheers were deafening
and it was a real vision to behold! After the parade, everyone watched the
fireworks display. The pictures are proof. :)

After the parade, a massive spectacular fireworks display was seen by the

Wow, that is a sneaky marketing trick, humanoido: giving us an enticing low resolution image... :) Now I definitely have to head to the news stand... :)

SRLM, I wanted to include the full resolution photo, showing all 2,916 Penguin Superheros in stark vivid crisp colorful detail but the photo would be really big - around 120-Terabytes, overload the server, and run in size from your computer across the street to your neighbors house (several blocks down). Plus, I believe if you hit the enlarge icon (+), it would knock all the icons off your computer's desktop and every computer's for a mile radius. Be thankful for what you have... but thank you for going to the newsstand to check out the magazine with the big colorful images in ink print. You definitely have the right idea.

Which issue was it? The March/April 2009 with R2D2 on the cover? I just got it (from the bookstore), and didn't see any penguin stuff. Although I did see lot's of other parallax products (BOE-BOT, PSC, ...).

SRLM,
from the web site I understand it's at page 44 of the May/June issue: www.botmag.com/issue16/index.shtml

Humanoido,
Another wonderful work, as usual! Thank you for all the things you are doing for these little robotic animals !

What?!? Are you saying that the issues on the newstands are months behind those available to subscribers? I have to subscribe now? Hummm... Well played, humanoido, well played. You provide a low resolution image to entice, and force a subscription to the magazine to get a full article... Well played indeed... :)

Thanks iMMOS and everyone for your kind comments.

The Penguin Web Site now includes a "What's New"
featured section about Penguin Robot Superhero.

www.robotinfo.net/penguin/
www.robotinfo.net/penguin/superhero.html

You can get all the software and a description of the
seven superpowers.

It's expected that the upcoming Penguin Tech magazine
will include more information.

I agree, Robot magazine is an indispensable and highly
valuable source of information for robotics.
