OK SO JUST IGNORE THE FACT THAT IN MY LAST POST I SAID I WAS USING A BS1, IT IS ACTUALLY A BS2SX.

· NO PROB THERE CAUSE .......WELL WHY EAT MCDONALDS WHEN YOU CAN EAT PRIME ANGUS STEAK, RIGHT?

BUT, I CANNOT GET HER TO CONNECT, AFTER I TRY TO "ID" THE BOX COMES UP AND IT SAYS THAT ALL THE PORTS ARE IGNORED, AND IT WONT LET ME EDIT THE PORT LIST??????????????????

ANY WISDOM ANYONE?

OH AND I DID NOT CORNFUSE THE CHIPS, I JUST ASSUMED THAT ALL I HAD WAS A BS1.

    What's the layout?

    What is the BS2SX in: a BoE, a Super_Carrier, something home-made (eek)?
    Got anything else using the COM port?·

    PJ, I KNOW ITS BEEN A WHILE, BUT YOU WERE RIGHT TO EEK.......SHE IS HOME GROWN LIKE ALL OF MY STAMPS

    PROBLEM SOLVED THO, I HAD THE OLD CRUSTY EDITOR SOFTWARE, SO I UPGRADED, AND IT WORKS FINE.

    SO I AM WRITING CODE WITH MY RIGHT HAND WHILST TYPING THIS MESSAGE, LITERALLY···!!!! I WILL SEND PICTURES OF·THE "SKUNKWORKS LABS CHEATIN WIFEBUSTER MODEL A1A" WHEN I CAN.

    PJ, helpfull as always.......

    · Well lets see,

    · I am taking a BS1, ( b/c its the only chip that I have assembled currently) and making a trigger for a digital camera that is going upstairs in his house. I will have it take one pic every 60 seconds for the first few days.
    Once I establish a likely pattern from 1440 pics a day, I will concentrate the shutter action for the peak times. Taking as many as 15 pics a minute.

    Oh and the friends house has rear access that is secluded and so therefore I can access the camera without compromising my mission, so I can download it everyday.

    HEY THE ONLY PROBLEM I AM HAVING NOW IS THAT I CANT GET A TIP 31 OR TIP 32 TRANSISTOR TO CLOSE THE 3VDC TO GET THE CAMERA TO TRIGGER. ABOUT TO TRY A 4401 AND A 4403
    ANY ADVICE?

    ok I had to impliment this thing today, and i ,I guess over soldered the tip 3055 that i had on my BS2SX or something, not sure.........

    Anyway, I went back to something that has never failed me, my first BS2 project board, the one I bought at Radio Shack........ skull.gif

    So here is the beast......

    ·· It worked great!!!!! I just had to keep feeding the camera 120 Ah battery packs (8 d cells, series to 3v, paralled 4 times).

    I set it to take initially every minute, then after the first download I set it to 1.5 minutes, and I got some great money shots.

    Once I show her and her attorney the "money shots" I will post them on my flickr account, and leave a link.

    Thank god for Basic Stamps, digital cameras, a steady soldering hand, electrical tape, cheetos, 8GB SD cards, my "spidey senses", transistors, ninja skills, computer skills, tpying skills, Jedi Mind stuff, Miller lite, friends, PJ Allen, and everyone else that has helped me in any way!!!

    Seriously though, thank all of you that have helped me with all of my projects, even though I have ruffled some feathers here in the past (Mike Green·smilewinkgrin.gif).

    Ill also post pictures of my New Toy, GPS Datalogger Vehicle Tracker, and its results.
