I am wondering if anyone has seen the ROBOREALM program? It's a free app. for using camera(s) on a robot or other things. Anyone can download it for free at· roborealm.com 
· It uses other program languages for the plug in apps. like C++, vb, java, and many others. There is a plug-in for a parallax servo controller. I am working on a new bot and want to put cameras on it and be able to send commands to a BS2xxx (have many flavor to work with) What I am building is BIG!!! About 150-200lbs. 2-12v motors,big battery, RC radio, laptop w/ WI-FI, 2 or more cameras one of my standard sensor packages (2 bump, 4 IR, 3 pings). The camera(s)·will go through the computer/ roborealm and I will need to get whatever signal to the stamp chip to aid in guidance. I can program in pbasic but not in any others. I am looking into serial communication and com ports but its slow going.
