Communicating with a C++ or C# program

I've been using the FullDuplexSerialPlus object to communicate with the Parallax Serial Terminal program and it all works very well. But what I'd really like to do is to write my own computer program in either Microcosft C++ or C# and to be able to communicate with it using the FullDuplexSerialPlus object. Does anyone know of the appropriate class in C++ or C# to accomplish this? Example code would really be appreciated.

VC# 2008 has "SerialPort" you can add to your form from the toolbox or otherwise use in your code. It is much nicer than the old MsComm class.
