Markings on PDB Power Regulation Capacitors

All--
These are the two, 10uf, 25 volt capacitors in the Professional Development Board's power regulation circuit. This board works well.·I blew another PDB up and these two caps produced a very pleasant fire. But, that's not important right now.
Do the two silver or gray markings on the left side of the caps indicate polarity? If so, which is it, positive or negative? I am replacing them and am not smart enough to know about this component format. I thought I would replace the caps and then the LM1084, if necessary. I realize that doing so may only fix a small portion of the problem, but it is a good, cheap way to save a PDB.
Thanks!
