Accelerometers - What makes a good one?
I'm looking into getting some accelerometers put together in a fair quantity. I've got one that I think seems pretty good, LIS3LV02DL/DQ from ST Micro. The datasheets can be located here:

I'm just curious about what you guys think about these. From what I gather, the DL suffix is 8-bit triple axis, while the DQ suffix is 16-bit, triple axis. The 16-bit chip is about $5 more, but you get reeeally good resolution. I'm just throwing this out there to see if any of you guys would be interested in one. I want about 10 of these for myself, but getting them through sparkfun is about $44 each for the 16-bit DQ version, $20 for the 8-bit DL.
Just looking over the general costs, I think I can do the DL version for about $12, and the DQ for around $20. The chips themselves are pretty expensive... If I buy these in bulk for myself, and anyone else who wants them, I think those prices will be pretty accurate. These would be pre-assembled, so all you would have to do is maybe solder your wires or pin header on.

I wouldn't be uninterested in the accellerometers, but would first want to see a response to my Paypal payment re the Propboards.
I sent that in a week ago.
I would be interested in up to 2 DQ units.
Thank you, Tom Perkins
