Connecting battery to protoboard

I have been powering the protoboard using a 9V brick so far. Since I am trying to make an autonomous vechile, I need a method to power it that can be attached to the vehicle. I've been researching LiPo batteries and was wondering if there was a way to power the board from a different style connector. Or should I snip the connector off and solder on a connector from the brick? I know LiPos are more sensitive than other batteries so I'm just trying to avoid setting things on fire.
I have been looking at getting this, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVKS8&P=0·or something similar.
Thank you·for any help!

PS - You should have a subject for your post. Something like "Connecting protoboard to battery".

Edit: I think that battery that you linked to is a bit overpriced (for the power level). I got a 3300 mAH NIMH battery for about that price at my local RC shop. If you don't really need the weight reduction LiPO offers, then I'd go with the NIMH.
LiPo's are good, I have been using them for years just handle them properly and charge them ONLY with a LiPo charger. Besides the weight reduction they have virtually no internal discharge so they stay charged for a long time. TowerHobbies does not have great prices . In Canada (?) check out www.rctoys.com or www.zebrahobby.ca. You should be able to get a better price (almost anywhere else).
