Soldering the smd Basic Stamp interpreter chip question

Hi,

I want to solder the SMD Basic Stamp interpreter Chip.

But it is the first time I will solder this very small chip.

Do you know if hot air solder is better than a direct contact solder.

Or do you know where I can find this information?

    I believe MicroChip will have the specifications on their website·for soldering their chips regarding temperature settings.· You can also search Google for soldering techniques that will help with this project.··I think Radio Shack has book on soldering that is very useful.
