Hi everybody. I've posted a couple questions in the past and have gotten great help from these forums. What i'm looking for this time is somebody interested and willing to spend some time over the phone/internet (approximately 8 hours worth) to tutor me and point me in the right direction on a project i'm working on. I'm willing to pay for the consulting, preferably by paypal, but i can send a money order if thats prefered. If you are interested, please email me asap as i have a deadline of about 2 and a half weeks. I am using the propeller chip, the ppdb, and various sensors including ping sensors, servos, the motor mount kit with hb-25's, and a hastily made frame. most everything is already assembled, mostly just in need of actual programming help. If you are interested i'll send more details through email.

Thanks in advance!

I live in South Austin! I am a 55 year old retired computer programming professional with 30 years experience.
I also worked as a professional audio & electronics engineer for several years before that. I am well-versed in all aspects of electrical, mechanical and package engineering.

Let me think about this project tonight, and I will email you with questions and possible solutions tommorow.

Its not a school project, more just for my own personal gain. I am however giving a presentation on my findings on march 19th in front of about 15-20 people, so its gonna be interesting. I am recieving the rest of my parts on thursday and i'll be in crack down and get stuff done mode, but i'm afraid i'm not learning by myself fast enough. This is more or less hobby consulting i'm looking for, nothing to be released to any professionals or anything, working to combine a lot of code thats already out there into one project.

I am best at project synthesis involving code modules that need to be integrated. Plus, I am the early beta tester for Hanno's work. I have all the software we need for real-time debugging and analysis. System architecture is one of the many areas at which I excel. Start with sending me whatever you have, all code, even if it non-working (Up on the rack, with wheels off) smile.gif .

I'll sign a non-disclosure missive, if that will ease your anxiety.
Remember I don't ask for money in the analysis and problem definition phase.

Just be prepared to pay for completed and unit-tested code.
I'm thinking of $30 an hour. I normally charge corporations $200 an hour.
And remember, I live in Austin.

But this is for the Cause!

I can vouch for JMH. He's been involved with ViewPort for the last year and consistently provides high quality, spot-on feedback. It's great to have him on your side!
