Problem Reading Melexis IR 10 degree FOV

Hi,
I'm working with the Melexis 10 degree FOV sensor.

I've run the code to set the address, and the code to read the sensor, and the program is reporting at temperature of 137 C for room temperature and which goes down as temperature goes up.

Something seems wrong here... I can see the number flash as it tried to do the "overWordsize" routine as well.

Anyone have a fix for this program?

Thanks,
Martin

    Hi Marty,

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing and I'll see what we can do to trouble shoot this?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Dave,
Very odd, yesterday I had those issues with good PEC's. Today I open the same program to get your screen shot and it is reading fine. * shrugs *

I'm running a test to check its accuracy against a blackbody radiator between 20C to 60C. Interested in seeing how the 10 degree FOV compares to the wide angle Melexis I've worked with in the past (non-parallaxized version).

    Thanks,
    Martin

Are you running from battery? Might check the charge.
