The BASIC Stamp microcontroller module is a perfect onboard computer for robots and automating student projects. It’s also a great resource for STEM curriculum!
Parallax, Inc. is now offering a FREE pilot course at our Rocklin office for teachers interested in getting started with or furthering their BASIC Stamp knowledge and skills. Each course can seat up to 20 teachers, complete with equipment for hands-on learning. Choose from learning the basics with What’s a Microcontroller? or from more advanced topics using our Smart Sensors and Applications or Robotics with the Boe-Bot texts.

Parallax will be hosting FREE BASIC Stamp Educator's Courses on the following dates:
April 6, 2009: Robotics with the Boe-Bot
Your students are having fun on Spring Break, and so should you! Come join us for a hands-on introduction to programming the Parallax Boe-Bot Robot. The course will be held from 9-4, including a tour of the Parallax office here in Rocklin!
June 22-23, 2009: 2-Day BASIC Stamp Educator's Course
Start your summer out right with our free 2-Day BASIC Stamp Educator's Course! This is our most popular course which introduces key topics from What's a Microcontroller (day 1) AND Robotics with the Boe-Bot (day 2).
These courses are open to any teacher who is willing to travel to our facility here in Rocklin, CA. So come out and join us on any of these dates for some good ol' fashioned electronic fun!
