need a digital 0-5k ohm Pot

Please suggest a part number.· It needs to be pretty hefty.

wiper and A / B poles need to be isolated from the rest of the circuit.··· Im a noob at this.

the AD5220 didnt cut it.· It sorta worked but its 10k and really low current.

You are not likely to find digital pots like what you want. They're rarely that low in resistance and they're neither isolated nor hefty.

You may want to use a servo motor driving a conventional mechanical pot. The pot would be as isolated as you want and could have all sorts of values and power ratings. You can get servos with a range of motion that mostly matches the range of motion of a pot.
