Can Homebus

Well, this is my first posting on this forum.
I'm very exited about this forum and about the Propeller chip.
After lurking on this forum for over a year I decided to give my learning
curve a boost and starting my own project.
I like to build up a homebus system and I decided to go for a CAN bus.
Maybe this is a bit overdone (a Modbus or even a long distance I2C bus
is perfect) but for learning·process this is·IMHO a better choice.
At the moment I am·investigating the routines from Stephen Moraco in the OBEX.
Is there someone who have experience with this routines?

I would use a serial connection with RS485 hardware which is very robust against EMV
There will be enough issues to solve in a BUS-system and for small sensors (like measuring ONE temperature you could use cheap MCUs
like ATmel-Tiny etc. and don't have to spend 20 bucks for each and every sensor / actuator
best regards
Stefan
I will investigate the possibilities

I am just about to start a project using CAN bus with different hardware but would be very interested to see more work done with the propeller / MCP2515.
Cheers
