PAL TV - Is is possible?

Hello -
I have a Prop Demo board with all the trimmings including the aerial jack.
I'm sure I saw a post on PAL TV and something along the lines of "tough", "UK" not covered - but I can not find the post.
(1) Is it possible to use the TV driver in the UK (PAL)? (sorry if I'm repeating a post)
(2) Are US aerial jacks different to UK aerial jacks, because the one I have doesn't connect with the aerials I have in my house? If different, I guess I will have to find a replacement (is this easy?)
Cheers

(1) - Yes even though most PAL tv's can display NTSC
(2) - I don't know if they are different but the jack on the demo board is the RCA type. Normally the Prop outputs composite video and should therefore be connected to an AV input on your TV.
It is possible to generate UHF signals on the Prop which you can 'tune' your TV into using the normal aerial connection.

Any experience? How much can we do? In PAL or NTSC?

Composite video is often designated by the CVBS acronym, meaning any of "Colour, Video, Blank and Sync", "Composite Video Baseband Signal", "Composite Video Burst Signal", or "Composite Video with Burst and Sync".
So yes you can display colour in PAL too.

You mention that it is possible to transmit a UHF signal using the prop. How???
That would solve some of my wiring problems is I could transmit the signal a short distance. Maybe a meter or two at the most.
I have an old colour portable tv; I doubt it take NTSC.
It would be good to know whether anyone has managed to get a PAL tv to work with the prop and then what it is they did to get it working. Anyone?
Cheers

so graphics_demo.spin also works in PAL/NTSC the mode ( found in tvparams [ 3 ] ) is set to 0 for NTSC and 1 for PAL, 2= interlaced NTSC, 3=interlaced PAL.
hope this helps.

this has been done to death already, a quick search of the forum brought this up....

Note that this is composite video, it uses the Parallax TV driver which can be set up to do baseband TV, look in the archive at the TV object it's all in there......

You maybe able to generate carrier (to receive into the aerial with/without direct wires - closeby may be enough) but I am pretty sure you will only be ble to do this on the lower VHF range as UHF is in all likelyhood (because I don't know for sure) too high for the prop. I suspect the prop carrier is limited to the maximum clock frequency of the prop which is usually 80MHz. This is the lower part of the VHF frequencies used in Australian VHF TV (we are different to some other parts of the world). If I recall correctly, UHF starts at 300MHz and above.
Maybe someone else can comment further.
