Regulated Power Supply
I almost feel bad pimping for SparkFun, but this little nugget is worth mentioning: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=114
Its a regulated power supply that is switchable from 3.3v to 5v and plugs into a breadboard. I assembled 3 of them for my use, 2 for prop stuff and 1 for a BS2 (so the 3.3v and 5v switch is nice). The sweet thing is that they plug right into the modular breadboards I get here at Parallax (which are awesome I might add...seriously).
For the n00bs around, of which I am definitely a member, its a great first soldering project too, and a must have if you don't have a bunch of power supplies laying around and don't like having to build out a power regulator for every project.
