Output voltage of the BASIC home-work board

Hello,

I am currently needing the output voltages for the BASIC stamp home-work board. This is because I see that the input voltage is 9V (from a 9V battery) and I have a temperature sensor from the "Vernier" company that fits in the pins of the board, but necessitates a power source of 5v. I can do calculations to find the resistance/capacitance, but I'm not sure if the home-work board already outputs 5V (that gets inputted into all sensors/motors that get plugged into it).

Thanks for your help!

The sockets on the Homework Board marked "Vdd" are +5V (and "Vss" is ground or 0V). The Stamp regulates the input voltage at currents up to about 50mA.

The unregulated voltage is 9v but the regulated voltage should be 5v. If not something is wrong and you should check it out before continuing

Don't forget that the HW board, unlike a BS2, has series 220-ohm resistors on all of the i/o pins. That can affect an RC circuit somewhat.
