Hey Cole - dropped your pack in the mail yesterday. You should receive it in a few days.

It was really difficult deciding on the winners of the contest. That's part of the reason why the new promotion is structured differently. Of course, your project is eligible for the new promotion!

Congrats to the winners! Well done! I'm running very behind on my GG project.
Looks like I get a second chance.. :)
(Took a break to visit Parallax, sorry Nick!)

@Nick,
Would you post that Propeller reference setup that you did? I can't seem to locate it again.

No problems! @OBC Saw the photos, looked like fun! Next time you head this way, shoot me an email & we can get together. I never finished my propeller reference design, but here's the pdf and the odt. As I recall, there should be a heatsink for the VR, a few caps for power conditioning, and rest of the VSS's and VDD's should be connected. Your video DAC is way better than mine, too.

Turd is on the hacked gadgets forum. grandtippler came from make. Both are PICaxer's (but I don't hold that against them).

We were also on the front page of Hacked Gadgets today - pretty cool!

For my current project that I'm working on I've placed the propeller on the 20 pin wide A-T section by the power jack. The EEPROM goes right below that (with 1 hole space between) and the EERPOM and propeller notches face each other. The 3.3 volt regulator goes at the end of the row. I really like this setup because it gives you most of the rest of the board for other components. In this case, I was able to put some Darlington arrays directly in side by side with the propeller and no wires. It saves 16 connections! If Nick wants the design, I can create an image for the setup of the propeller.

I know the design that I want to do is one of those LED 3d Cube. I figured that I could do anything from a 4x4x4 grid to a 16x16x16 using the proppeller. Heres an example 4x4x4 cube www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTPviP4xz5w&feature=related and heres a 16x16x16 cube www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gbMgtU_ON0

@srlm - for sure!!! If you want to put it out there for others to use with their projects, that would be awesome. Soldering down a 40 Pin DIP is a bear to begin with, so any way to make it easier would be welcomed. You can email it to me or post it up here, either way.

@cole - looks like a cool project! It would be fun to design and I think other folks might get a kick out of building it, too.

Thanks for the sweat shirt (Honorable mention). I went out grocery shopping today, and on the entire way back it was pouring rain (I ride my bike). When I got back home, I found the fire alarm had gone off, and so we're not allowed inside. By the time I got to my room, I was freezing: but I had just picked up my mail, and inside was a nice, warm sweat shirt. Thanks!

Cool! Glad you enjoyed it. OT - but have you ever tried White Lightningchain lubricant? You have to REALLY de-grease your chain before putting it on, but it really works well.
