need more I/O's

Hello all,
I have a question about serin serout. In my robot project I really could use a few more I/O’s. Ya, I know, don’t we all. Well I was wondering if I bought another BOE or even another BS2, could I use the serin & serout connecting the 2 stamps together to gain more I/O’s? Actually what I have now is a BOE and I been thinking of buying another one. So between the 2 BOE’s it would be 32 I/O pins. The minus the 2 on each board for the serin & serout lines. That would give me a total of 28 usable I/O’s. So my question is, can 2 BOE’s act as one?

You might want to look at the BS2p40 and Adapter Board for extra I/O pins.· Here is a link for more information:

Thanks, I didn't even think about looking into another chip. it about the same price as a BOE, but with less hassle. the only drawback that is see is reprograming and learning the new stamp. really no big deal. thanks for the input. I will deffinatly look into it.
