Can·anyone help a newbe?

My stamp is stuck in a program loop.
How can I stop the program or clear the program memory.
When the loop is running I can't seem to communicate with the stamp.

Thanks

I've attached a code that clears the memory.· What code are you running and can you attach it as a .bs2 file?

Is it possible that your stamp is resetting due to either low batteries or extreme current demand (a motor or servo) and that's causing your loop?

I'm not aware that a program loop can cause the stamp to stop communicating with a host PC in order to reprogram it... are you sure its not hardware related?

Yes it is hardware related. Seems to be my laptop or the USB to RS232 interface. Works ok on a desktop with a deticated port.

    Thanks

What brand is the USB adapter? Some of them don't work with the BS2 because they lack some features that the stamp needs to communicate (cheaper designs)

It's nearly impossible to tell you if your USB to serial adapter should work since there are so many different ones on the market. The ones that Parallax sells all work. FTDI (the maker of the chip that Parallax uses) makes a variety of adapters which all seem to work and Keyspan's High Speed Serial Adapter works. Others can chime in on what they've found that does work.

I've had problems with Belkin adapters before.

We have never had good luck with Belkin USB to serial adapters.· We recommend the FTDI ·USB to serial adapters.· Here is a link for more information:
