2x16 Parallel LCD work with the BASIC Stamp Activity Kit

will the 2x16 Parallel LCD work with the BASIC Stamp Activity Kit·? if not what lcd works with the homework board?

    It should work, but the serial LCD is a whole lot easier to work with. It takes fewer IO pins too. Also, please edit your post and include a subject line.

    If you're just beginning to use LCDs, definitely get yourself a serial one. It's well worth the price.

    is this the one i should get 4x20 Serial LCD with Keypad Interface
    Also what other stuff do i need to hook it up with my bs2 homework board

    If you don't need the large 4x20 or the keypad interface, I'd recommend the 2x16 serial WITH backlight.

    A backlight is worth an extra 5 bucks in my opinion.

    You'll need nothing additional to connect it to your homework board... although the Servo Extension cable would be nice if you plan on having it off your solderless breadboard.

    Most Parallax products have links on their webstore page to documentation and sample code. Please look at the documentation and errata for this display to see how to hook the display up to any two Stamp I/O pins for TTL serial I/O using the SERIN and SEROUT statements. Also read the chapters in the Stamp Basic Manual on those statements.
