Hong Kong Trip, What should I buy?
Guys (and Girls if you are one that is...) One problem, In Aussie, there's no Parallax distributor in sight, unless you live in the state Victoria which is very far away from my home.
I'm going to Hong Kong in April, and the THE ONLY SHOP that distrubutes Parallax products is
Mind Research (HK) Ltd.
Address:
Shop 16. G/F., Wing On Building,
206 Fuk Wa Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Phone: int +852 2390 9592 / 6575 3443
Fax: int +852 2616 4368
Web: http://www.mindresearch.com.hk/
Email: info@mindresearch.com.hk , mac.ma@mindresearch.com.hk
but what should I buy? I hate to buy it directly from the Parallax website because the shipping is a pain coz' it costs too much.
I'm a noob here, can somebody suggest something? I want to build a Double BOE-TANK. My budget is HKD$1000.

Promises... If you're expecting replies, then you can no longer delete the thread. As a side note, here in the United States there are no Parallax distributors where I live, so you're not alone in ordering online.
You'd be buying from our most respectable supplier, Mac Ma of Mind Research. Having worked personally with him for over 12 years I assure you that you will be treated very well.
Mind Research operates a small shop for this purpose, too. It's just big enough to stock some parts and demonstrate different items from our inventory. Thankfully, his shop lies in the middle of the Hong Kong electronics district where you can browse other shops with some electronics (but lots of consumer electronics junk).
I recommend that you get a visa to go to Shenzhen for the day, too. You can ride the MTR and train straight into Shenzhen, China, and visit the electronic component markets. This is where heaven begins for many electronic enthusiasts. How does several blocks of six-story open markets sound to you? Just about any component you could imagine is available in Shenzhen. To do this trip you should get a tourist visa before you go to China.

Thanks, man.
There is no MTR service to china. Or did you mean KCR?
