Board of Education Rev D, Red Power LED Blinks Constantly

I have a new BofA, Rev D and it has built in LEDs next to the USB port. The Parallax web site has no documentation for these lights. They only go up to Rev C as of 1/21/09. When the board is·normally powered up, the blue and red LEDs flash near the USB port flash once and then quit.

I put the Mesmic accelerometer and Hitachi compass on the board and installed the programs.·Both sensors and programs work but the red LED near the USB port flashes constantly.

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks

The blue and red LEDs are for transmit and receive data. I forget which is which, but they'll blink whenever there's data going back and forth between the Stamp and the PC. The initial blink when the board is turned on is for the recognition of the BOE by the PC (called "enumeration").

Do you have DEBUG statements in your program? They'll cause transmission from the BOE to the PC whether the PC pays attention to it or not.
