I have 2 clusters of LEDs that I am trying to get to pulse, I have them resisted properly to run on 5v but when I go through the BS2 they are very dim. Is there anyway to achieve maximum brightness? I am still pretty new so I am sorry if my information is shotty.

Thank you,
-Travis

Are you running all the LEDs from the same pin? You're probably drawing too much current. What happens when you run just one? Also, what is your duty cycle? If you pulse them mostly low, then they'll be dim.

update, I managed to get them brighter by using a PNP transitor to allow a higher mA to the LEDs

You can also use a 555 timer to power up to 200mA by toggeling the reset pin from the stamp. NPN fets are also very easy to use.

Think Inside the box first and if that doesn't work..
Re-arrange what's inside the box then...
    Think outside the BOX!
