Using a pin for 2 counters

Hi all,
I'm working on a quadrature decoding solution and I've come up with something that uses POSEDGE detection with feedback.
What I'm wondering is this: what will happen if both CTRA and CTRB have the same pin set for BPIN. Will the output be an AND or an OR of whatever the two counter circuits are trying to drive? Or is the behaviour undefined?
If there are any docs which define the behaviour in this situation, I'd love to see them.
Many thanks,
Dan
