Making PCB with reference to Development Board-serial version

hello

i am a collage student that have to produce a PCD with reference to the development board i have bought

i have some question i would like to clarify before i go on with the production

1)i am no sure about the purposes of the servo power selection , i need some basic explaination on what is the purpose and how it funtions

    long story short, if your running more than 2-3 servos and running off of the power from your board, it can put a drain on your voltage regulator and your power supply and that can cause your voltage for your chip to drop out and perpetualy reset. there is also the fact that if your servo can handle voltages higher than 6v you can supply it via onboard power from your power supply.
