I just started working on a self balancing robot and I think I'm up to a good start.
I'm using some VEX parts and the propeller together with the PING))).

Pretty fun project and I hope I can get it to work more than just a few seconds. tongue.gif

Living on the planet Earth might be expensive but it includes a free trip around the sun every year...

Experience level:
[ ] Let's connect the motor to pin 1, it's a 6V motor so it should be fine.
[ ] OK, I got my resistors hooked up with the LEDs.
[X] I got the Motor hooked up with the H-bridge and the 555 is supplying the PWM.
[ ] Now, if I can only program the BOE-BOT to interface with he Flux Capacitor.
[ ] I dream in SX28 assembler...

A very good first effort, especially since it looks like you're using sonar instead of an accelerometer or gyro. Be proud!

There were a few self-balancing robots at last week's CES in Las Vegas. A pretty ho-hum show otherwise. Last year, WowWee had many new items, a huge booth with lots of activity and demonstrators. This year, only two people at two tiny tables and only one new robot, the $99 JoeBot.
