Hello,

i am hooking my coil(bifilar) up to the basic stamp to measure a trigger coil.
when i connect my coil the voltage goes crazy....no power on the coil.

after connecting the ground all togetter it get's a litle bit better, but it stil peeks.

is there a filter so i can get rid of these spikes?

i am trying to read a trigger(low voltage/amperes)·wire and then let the basic stamp fire the drive coil.

Thanks in advance

maby you should try using a cap and a optoisolator, like a 4n30, the spike will be stored in the cap, it will protect from spikes, your trigger will be stored in the cap, and should hold the led in the optoisolator high enough to give you a reading, dont forget that your BS2 migh not be cycling exactly when your trigger is set, so you will run into problems without having some type of delay.
