Hi all,

Santa kindly delivered me a nice new Hydra kit over the recent holiday period. I have been going well with the book up to about page 325, when the actual graphics programming discussions start for real. I have lost count on how many times I have read through the pages that follow and for me they may as well be written in a different language. (I just don't get it). Can anyone offer any advise on a good basic how to for graphics on this. I don't really want to get into game development but rather use this as a fun get to know the propeller and for projects that need more power and or TV output. All of my projects up to now are Stamp 2 based, but I have a couple of projects in the running that need more power than the Stamp family can provide, and I don't really want to go PC based for these applications, as that just takes the fun out of it! lol.

All I really want is a basic, how to put something on the screen and move it about explanation. I am sure that when I have the basics figured out the book will be OK again. No complaints about the book by the way, all good so far, epically the chapter about SPIN itself. Nice and easy to understand from a programmers point of view. Just seem to have lost the way in the graphics section that's all.

In no dunce with computers, I've been working in the IT industry for (well just too long) now. I am a fairly competent VB developer working mainly with database integrations, I have also worked with C / C++ and various other languages in my time and some assembly at college (but nothing since). As I said above all my other projects are Stamp based, im no expert with them but I can get them to do what i want (usually). This is my first real foray into graphics programming of any kind.

Cheers all.
