Hot batteries question.

Hi all! I have another question about my HomeBoeBot.
Well the fact is that I put the batteries of the servomotors and in aproximately 2 minutes, they were very hot.
The bot wasen't in movement, I mean, only was connected to the PC, it's normal or something is wrong in my bot?
I attach a photography of the Controller card, maybe is something wrong connected and I missed =S

Thanks,
Izzy.

Backup a little bit with your camera so you can have it in focus. Then we can zoom in. Also, add a little bit more light. It is hard to see this photo.

I think you have something shorted. Or else the batteries would not run hot. Also, my batteries melted the battery holder in about 1 minute when there was a short circuit.

    Thanks,

Double-check that you don't have anything under the homework board that could be shorting it. If it is all clear, the second thing I would try is to disconnect all the wires on your bread board that go to power. If you take out anything connected to vss it should be fine. Now turn it on. If the power led doesn't light, you have a short somewhere else. If it does, double-check your connections and plug wires back into vss. If the light turns off immediately take them back out and re-do your circuit. Good luck.
