Has anyone been able to build a circuit to accept infrared signals, and use it w/ the boe-bot to control the LIRC/WinLIRC systems?

    Mr.Freeman

Have You looked in the Robot forum? One other thing is to turn the lights off in the room.

I searched the archives but did not see anything. I posted a question in Robotics.

    Jimi,

I played around with IR a little bit using the "IR Remote for the Boe-Bot Book" - free download from parallax.

    bdb,
Does that mean that you have built a working circuit for IR + LIRC/WINLIRC? I have working circuits using the IR LED + IR Receiver....

I haven't gotten to interfacee with LIRC - That's my next project as I've gotten a prebuilt tx/rx unit.

Keep me updated! I think that is going to be really cool if you are able to. I am able to "communicate" with it using SEROUT and DEBUG, but its not quite there yet.
