How do you put animated GIF's as your profile picture? I saw a guy with a cap and a spinning propeller on the top as his picture...
How do you do that?

They're uploaded the same as a static GIF. If you're asking how to make an animated GIF, for that you will a graphics program (e.g. Corel PhotoPaint) that supports their creation.

It should be noted, however, that the use of animated profile graphics is generally discouraged, unless the animation is relatively subtle, like the one you cite. The reason is that a wildly changing picture can be quite distracting when one is trying to concentrate on the text in a forum post.

One thing to keep in mind when making an animated Avatar for forum use is how distracting the Avatar might be, especially if you post frequently. Some members will find a significant amount of animation on the screen distracting while trying to read messages, especially if the animation appears in several messages in a row. Take care.
