BASIC Stamp 2 test?

Is there a way (hopefuly easy) to check if a BS2 module is functioning correctly? without the board?· i think theres something wrong with my PCB, but it could also be the BS2.

    Not really. To test it, you have to try programming it and probably download a program to exercise the I/O pins, probably using an LED. You could use a breadboard like the one on the Board of Education or bought from RadioShack along with some jumper wires.

    What makes you think its defective? If you have a 9volt battery plugged in, try a fresh one. I was using batteries until this 'malfunction' showed up.

    yeah, ive already tried changing the batteries as such, and downloading a program etc.

    Do you have it on a carrier board, solder less breadboard or PCB? Be more specific about the set-up and maybe we can help.
