I have a·6 ohm big speaker (80 watt) , can I use it with Emic ?
·
I can put 2 ohm in series with the speaker to make it 8 ohm , but I afraid that I could damage the Emic or my BS2 since it is a stereo speaker and also·80 watt?
·
Can anybody help me with that?
·
note: I used· 16 and 32·ohm Headsets with the Emic and·they works!

You'll need to Amplify the audio signal from the "EMIC" as the out is very low.
I've used the EMIC on My "BS2 PRO.DEV.Board" with the on board LM386 amp. And I could barely hear the audio from it at MAX gain.
Jaycar and Ramsey sell some good high gain amps."Kit Form" that would fit Your application well. Some range to over 100 Watts RMS.
One last thing: Don't try to drive a speaker with the EMIC or any BS$ stamp output pins without the use of an AMP./OP-AMP. in the loop.
Take a look at I/O output current! with both the $STAMP and the EMIC!!!!

connected to the EMIC TTS board at the (SP+) and
(SP-) terminals. The programmers setting sets the
volume. With all the ambient noise in the room, it
still produces substantial volume. Note that as the
volume increases, the amp draw goes up. This is
probably an issue when running it off batteries. This
is a way to use a speaker without a power amp.
You can hear what it sounds like near a midrange
setting, somewhere in this movie.
