Using a PCI modem

Hey All,

My friends new buisness just got broken into, and I need to set up a quick alarm system. I want to use a PCI type modem, ya know, the ones that go into a PC. I've looked but can't seem to see if that is possible and if so how.

If not, I'll make a DTMF dialer, but I can't seem to find a 600/600 ohm audio xfrmr in my junk stash.

Thanks!

Jonathan

    Jonathan,
I have a few external modems that are serial controlled its real easy to interface with a stamp. I might send you one if you cant find one locally if you pay the shipping. Let me know.

    Benettdan,

What a kind offer! However, I got it to work with a DTMF circuit. I don't need any data transfer for this app, it just needs to call and tell my friend that the alarm has been triggered.
