Having trouble with editor recognizing BS2

i recently got a BS2 and ive put together a board similar to the homework board without the cost of the homwork board.· it works fine. i downloaded a basic program onto the stamp that just blinks a LED, the download worked perfectly.· I wrote another more complex LED blinking program to try something out, the program works fine,· however my computer cannot find the BASIC Stamp 2 when I attempt to download the new program.· Ive already tried changing the battery, checking the cable connections, i debuged the port its plugged into etc... there is also nothing wrong with the BS2 because as i type this it is executing the first program i loaded onto it.· does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my computer to recognize the stamp?
