Toddler Drawings?

Hello -

Since the toddler is now a discontinued product, any chance of the mechanical drawings (maybe .dxf's) or at least key dimension might be made available for personal use, similar to the .dxf's that were released for the Penguin?

Thanks!
Paul G.

    Hey Paul,

You are a new poster to our forums. Welcome!

Are you going to make a commercially-available Toddler? If so, no, they are not available.

But if you want to make a few for yourself or other personal uses, sure!

What's your plan? Let us know and we'll see what we can do.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Ken -

I've been a member for a while, but this was my first post. My interest in the toddler drawings are strictly personal use. I have a penguin, which I enjoy the heck out of. But my basic problem to the availability of pins for expansion. Over the years, I've accumulated a fair amount of R/C equipment and MCUs, along with other components/sensors. But the lack of spare pins makes it hard to expand, primarly because I don't think my skills are up to some of the mods I've seen done to the tiny penguin board. Which of course means I need to go bigger. I have the penguin .dxf''s which I may yet scale up, but seeing as the Toddler was scaled for the larger equipment from the start, I thought I'd go ahead and ask about the drawings.

Thanks for the response and consideration!

    Paul,

Okay, good intent! Send me an e-mail to kgracey@parallax.com and I'll reply with drawings. I may even post them here.

    Thanks,

    Paul G.,

You might find this interesting too - http://www.bluebelldesign.com/AppMod2.htm

See attached pic. Not really as pretty as the Toddler, but neat and simple.
