Boebot gripper qti & whisker help!!!!!??

Me and my group are trying to have the boebot use the qti line follower, the gripper, and the whiskers all together.
we've created a program where the whisker can control the gripper
and we've written the program for the qti line follower
but our problem is letting them run at the same time.
we're interested in WHILE statements, but we don't reallly know how they work, or how to get it to work rather.
any help appreciated.
