Suggestion for next Prop Tool

It would be very nice if the development management aspect of the tool was extended to include automatic revisioning numbers. The archive function is fantastic but sort of brute force and limited.
The management function·would link a suite of modules into a single master revision number. This number could be placed into the commenting of the code and automatically updated as well as an accessable constant to the compiler. This way one could display the revision on screen or output device.
At each compile, all of the numbers would be synced up via the programmers choice of criteria. There would be some auto saving and a 'roll back' function that could be set by the programmer (keep everything today, roll back 3 hours, roll everything back to rev ###, etc...). A database·would track compiles who modified what modules when and their specific directory references.
I know there are more programmers out there who could probably toss in some more suggestions on this. With all of the objects available and their need to be slightly modified to get along with each other, it's easy to get wrapped about the axle as to which copy of what object is compiling.
