OEM BS2 and the PIC16C57C-20/p
Hello All
Does the Windows Editor download the "Interpretor" part·to the OEM "PIC16c57c-20/p"·or is it preloaded from Parallax.???
I was giving a bunch of PIC Chips from a friend of mine. Most are old PICs but 11 are PIC16c57c-20/p's
Some work in a OEMBS2 card and some don't, they all seem to be new as they·where removed from a sealed tube carton.· They all have same markings.
Any info on this would be of help.

I noticed the PICs that work have a silver inlaid PIN 1 marker, while the PICs that don't work have a white paint or ink mark.
One would think that Microchip would give the "interpreter Burned" chip a different part#.

I don't buy my stuff from Microchip. I tried their Programming software/Hardware before I found Parallax back in the day. I didn't care much for it then and still don't now. Not that it was bad, It just lacks the Basic lingo I like to use.
If it wasn't for Microchip, I would have missed out on My favorite little $STAMP, the BS2!
If You were giving some free PICs ;would You throw them out?
