My Propeller Doublestack w/cheese

I've been pondering the idea of using a second Propeller as a dedicated sound board.
So I figured that Protoboards would stack nicely, and I was right...

I removed the DC connector, the 1000uf cap, and shortened the height of the power switch.
The bottom board is powered by connecting the 5v/Vss lines connected using male/female pin headers.
The top switch turns on both units and both LED's light.

I've added s few things over Sunday..

8 and 9 are tied together on both sides for prop-2-prop communication.
P10 from the bottom board is routed to the sound circuit with P10 from the top board.
P11 from the bottom board has it's own sound circuit and is now routed from the bottom
to the additional RCA jack on the top board.

I'm really pleased how easy it was to tie these together.

    Here's some more shots.

This is really cool. What prop object or code are you using for communication between the two props? Do you have to do any circuitry beside just connecting two pins?

    Thank you for sharing this.

Other than two connections for audio and two more for communication, no.
Everything is directly connected without issue.

I'm fiddling with FullDuplex serial using HSS audio driver. I'm shooting for a decent
audio output from the bottom board, freeing up most of the resources of the top one for other things.

The Arduino has a similar concept called "shields" - only they use a non standard pin spacing just to be different I suppose (or to lock you into one implementation which is odd for an "open source" project like the Arduino). I always thought the modularity of that concept was pretty cool and have seen some very creative usages.
