How much shock can the Piezo Film vibra sensor handle?

I'm thinking about doing a father-son project with my 14 year old,
building him a Propeller-based guitar hero drum input, and it looks
like the Piezo Film Vibra sensor might be the perfect
way to detect the hit of a drumstick.

I'm thinking we could hide the sensor on the underside of a practice pad where it
won't get struck directly, but I'm curious how much shock these sensors can handle?

We'll take a the guts from a broken guitar controller and interface the switches with
the Propeller with handful of transistors. (like my C=Nintendo Interface)

Can anyone share experience with these and Propeller?

I don't know about the Parallax sensor but when I built mine I used the piezo elements out of musical greeting cards secured to the back of a rubber pad with bathroom sealant silicone. They are still going after about 18 years. I think you'll be ok.

Brad's right. With your hardware and software knowledge, you'll be okay. Just do it...
