All of the tags that we sell use the same frequency (125kHz) but each RFID tag has a unique 10-Digit ID that sets them apart from one another.

So if I got 2 of the same tag they would be·recognized by the reader as two seperate tags? Correct.

    Dan Taylor,

"So if I got 2 of the same tag they would be·recognized by the reader as two seperate tags? Correct." - Yes, that is correct.

Actually, the chances of getting two tags that read the same are·1 in 1.2 septillion·(or 1.2x10^24)

    SRLM,

I'm not sure exactly what a gazillion is·smilewinkgrin.gif,· but a 'septillion' is equal to· 1x10^24 or One yotta.

With 10-available unique digits for the RFID and each digit capable of a number fro 0 to 255, the possibilities become..

    256^10 or 1.21x10^24

A gazillion is what little kids always use when they want to one-up each other. So next time I visit my cousins, and they say something like : " I double-dare you a gazillion times", I can then reply back: "I septillion-dare you!"

Apparently, the all-knowing wikipedia has an entry on this. They define gazillion as a number whose "size is dependent upon the context, but can typically be considered large enough to be unfathomable by the average human mind."

Obviously, septillion is a bajillion more times unfathomable than gazillion.
