Is Mike Green Santa Claus???

I was just wondering.... Is it possible that Mike Green is Santa Claus?
He's always helping out, always helping people check things off their wish lists, things like "I wish I could get this circuit to stop squealing at 30 MHz" or "If I add two random numbers, do I always get a random number?", etc. And I was looking at his little picture, the beard, and what looks like maybe a log cabin wall or something.... and there's that suspicious address in Minnesota, which everybody knows is just Elfspeak for the North pole. Anybody else out there have that same sneaky feeling?

No way! Where's the long, thick white beard and the ample head of white hair?

It's all part of your disguise, Mike. You cover up the white hair and bear so no one get's suspicious. Now, you're using some humor to bypass the question. Are you or are you not Santa Claus?

As I sit back and think about Your Theory,I'm starting to think Your on to something.Last xmas My youngest son ask Santa how He could be in every mall accross America.Santa replyed It's Quantum physics, Its the ability to be in more then one place at the same time.He also stated that his Elf 's used this same technology to make Toys. While thier is a lot of other people that fit the Santa C. bill like "Mr.C.Hayes, Mr.J. Willams, Mr.F.M.Mimms III, Mr.C.Gracey" This is just to mention a few.Its this tone that makes Me think that Santa an Mr.Green are the same!!!!

This is great news! It means we can post our wish lists for Santa, right here on the forum, instead of fighting the holiday crowds at the mall.

    "Dear Santa
I want a quadrover, no make that 2 quadrovers, a hundred Prop protoboards, a brand new...."

Although it is early, Merry Christmas everyone

As a died-in-the-wool empiricist, I propose the following experiment to test this tantalizing hypothesis, namely that Mike Green == Santa Claus:

    1. Write Mike a nice letter, asserting that you've been especially good this year. Try to include enough examples to be convincing.

    2. Attach a long list of cool stuff you don't have, but want desperately, and without which life would be utterly devoid of meaning.

    3. See if you get it.

If you don't get anything, it doesn't necessarily disprove the hypothesis, because you may have lied about being good. If Mike really is Santa, he would know you were lying and ignore your entreaty for cool stuff. He may even retaliate with a lump of coal to make a point, although that would seem to run against his genial nature.

To make this scientifically valid, we'll need a control group. Perhaps half of us (those with last names beginning with the letters A through M, say) could write to — oh, gosh — maybe Dick Cheney instead. Come December 26th, we can compare results either to verify the hypothesis or to put it to rest.

    -Phil

That's not right at all! I don't want to be in the "Dick Cheney" control group!

I had half a chance before... I was good this year.. really! honest!!

    Beau,

your photographic revelation of Mike's true identity has left me hoarse with laughter. I think it's his socks that kill me. Those outrageously striped stockings have burned themselves into my retinae forever. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my suspicions. Now... let the tsunami of "Dear Santa" letters begin...

    Dear Santa:

You know if I've been good or bad, so I won't argue the point. I've provided a list of gifts for your perusal. Thank you.

    Really, Super Good:
    A swarm of Quad rovers

    Pretty Good:
Some of those RF wireless thingies...

    Good:
    A Propeller Protoboard

    Bad:
    A lump of coal*

*Could you also be sure to include a Peltier Cell so that I can power stuff with the coal? Thanks.

It's a day or so early, but amid all the talk of Black Friday and super-shoppers in a period of economic contraction and consolidation, this is a good time to be thankful for what we each have, for family, friends, and colleagues, to try to help our neighbors who may be more needy than we.

    Dear Santa,

I am workin on a techtronix RM561A O-Scope, I started to completely disasemble the time base and before you ask yes i do have the schematics and yes i am documenting and checking everything multiple times and ways. I was really hoping that you would just make it work with some of that northpole magic because i really dont like having to do this but if i want a working o-scope i am goingt to have to. i will be doing it for a college graduation project keep in mind i am only a senior in high school right now so some help with my degree might work. and dont forget the giant stocking of Parallax products, i dont care what kind i'm not picky i like it all
    thank you very much Santa
    Sincerely, Lab Rat
