Hello,
I have a BSII and a SX tech board. Is there anyway to create a 1 MHz square wave using what I have? I have produced low frequency waves with a 555 timer, but it doesn't reach 1 MHz. I want to build a function generator for my stamp experiments and I need a range of 100 KHz to 2 MHz.
Thanks,
Curtis

There are any number of ways to generate your square waves.· For example, a crystal oscillator followed by a counter string (JK flipflops).· Check out http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=815-ach·for example.· You can get a 4MHz oscillator under two bucks and count it down for another buck or two.· So why dedicate a test board?

    Thanks,
I have a 3.6864 crystal. Is there any sample circuit I could look at to create a 1 mhz square wave?
    Thanks,
    Curtis

I thought the SX-tech board could generate 1 Mhz square waves with on-chip hardware, no?

    No.

Search me, I've never seen one.· I assumed it would not, else he would have known it (if he had done even a bare minimum of study of what he had).
