Back to top link in message panes
Folks -
Has any one else had a problem with the "back to top" link found in each of the message panes?
I tried it with Opera 9.62 and it doesn't appear to be working at all. It just sits there as though the link had never been clicked. The address bar DOES show "#ttop" as a suffix, if that's of any help in diagnosing the problem.
TIA

When all else fails, try inserting a new battery.

The reason for this is that the jump-to target is "ttop" and the section label is "tTop". Opera is being case-sensitive here, which is why it fails to make the jump. Safari on the Mac, OTOH, acts in a case-insensitive manner and behaves as expected. Attribute names in HTML are not supposed to be case sensitive, so it looks like Opera got it wrong. That's too bad, since they're almost always on the fore when it comes to standards compliance. Even though it's technically correct the way it is, it would be better if the forum software generated labels that matched; but there's virtually no chance that that will change.
