Thanks Jim,

I'll look for an email.. :) I figured the game looked so much like a ZX Spectrum game that
it should have the font. Just did a visual conversion for the next release.

Looks very Speccy now. :)

Cool OBC, can't wait to see :)

Speaking of speccy like, well ok, maybe it's slightly OT, as it being C64 like, here's a pic, I thought you might enjoy OBC :)

@OBC,
Looking good! I hope to put (very) soon the start of a game I am working on. I am working the 'kinks' out of the scrolling code (otherwise I would have posted either that, or the example I was going to put for your).

I hadn't seen the Spectrum games, and after seeing Rastan on there (one of my favorite games of all times), I am definately inspired! I might have to see if I can do a rendition sometime ;)

OBC, those are moving sprites on that screen :D up to 9 C64 style sprites to make up each player up to 6 for him+up to 3 for shadow, so I'll be able to have lots of bouncing balls for the minigame :D

back on Topic : Looks speccy like with the new font :) although cars C64 fat pixel now in comparison

Experience level:
[ ] Let's connect the motor to pin 1, it's a 6V motor so it should be fine.
[ ] OK, I got my resistors hooked up with the LEDs.
[X] I got the Motor hooked up with the H-bridge and the 555 is supplying the PWM.

So just when I throw down saying I want to work on a Prop Spy Hunter, Andre taps me to work on a project (which is not Parallax or Hydra related, so I won't be pimping it here). So since I have dropped the ball here, you better finish up your version of Spy Hunter smile.gif

lol:

Sorry.. Yes, I will return to it soon.. I've been distracted by book authoring and writing a VT100 terminal. :)

The mantra of the Propeller Experimenter: "Too Many Projects... Too Little Time..."

As soon as I get back from Parallax next week and put out all the fires from my small business caused
by not being in town, I'll be back in Spy Driver. :) (If I don't take that Xmodem code and re-setup my
Propeller based BBS first. <GRIN>)

@OBC,
Are you still planning on finishing SpyDriver? Just curious if it was still on your "radar" or not (after UPENE).

[Edit:] The other day I ran across Spy Hunter maps from the NES:
http://www.nesmaps.com/maps/SpyHunter/SpyHunterMapSelection.html

I don't know how far you plan on taking the "Spy Hunter" clone aspect of the game, but if you were trying to match the road layout, might be useful.

Yes, I do plan to come back to it... :)

I've got UPENE and two other Prop-Projects in the hopper.
(UPENE is taking most of my attention, although I've been rather distracted by HSS again. :)

Between writing my UPENE 2009 report (this week) and finishing PropMAN (this month)
I'm planning to return to this project with a complete re-write using the new 16color fat pixel driver.

I've already got some really good ideas simmering on the back burner for this.
It should look a lot more like the original Spyhunter. I'm thinking that I should be able to clip in
most of the original tiles for this. (Commodore version of course!)
