Is there a virtual basic stamp 2 available anywhere to test programs on?

    Yes, but it's not cheap. I don't remember the name but if you changed your post title to something better suited to your question you might get a response.

    Look in the robot programmers Bonanza book. This book uses the free robotBasic software to do all the programming and modeling in. I haven't tried it myself, but it seems to be okay.
