Connecting a Propeller to Embedded blue 500

I could use some recommendations on the simplest way to connect these devices.
Prop inputs can use a series resistor ? - TX and Status pins
Can propeller outputs drive the embedded blue inputs without a translator chip? Rx and Mode pins

Are RTS and CTS typical used? Are they input or output?

Any advice would be appreciated

You can interface the Propeller to the eb500, you should use series resistance at least on the signals coming from the eb500 since it is a 5V device (and putting them on all won't harm anything). You typically don't need to worry about using the handshake lines for ordinary communications. RTS is an input on the eb500, CTS is an output.

I've got a protoboard with a 2X10 header on it supporting the EB500.
Great Project, well worth the effort.

I only used resistors on the input lines to the propeller though!
