Having to learn to use the Propeller,
I thought it was useful to gather in a single file,
all topic messages sent from the first day to today,
so I have pads and offline in the list of post,
if you want to consult just click on the link,
you can list all the messages started by an author,
or observe the post replicated or more beds.
You can create another column and mark the
post favorite or important, highlight the lines, do what you like
With
·EDIT
·· FIND
you can search any word

Plus replies,·the winner is: Chip Gracey,
What would you want more of, cogs or RAM?, 748
Plus read,··· the winner is: Dave Scanlan,
SPIN CODE EXAMPLES FOR THE BEGINNER, 58239

8/11/2008·Thanks to ErNa, i insert·the HTML version of the file

    Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou smile.gif

While this is a great forum compared to the few others I have visited, the index/search is (unmentionable)!!! While I have tried to get an indexing thread, noone has taken up the challenge. Having to resort to Google is not a solution as Google gives different results, so it is possible to find an article one day and not the next.

Come on Parallax, add this thread to the stickies.

Indeed it is a shame how such a great forum could reside on such crappy host (i constantly have problems with connection, other sites work fine, so it's not my connection/provider) and have such crappy search function.

I made a thread once where people suggested a mozilla pluging for searching prop forum. Search for it (yea right ;) )
The plugin is convenient, but the underlying search mechanism is kind of crappy (at least i can never find anything)

Try using http://search.parallax.com instead of the forum's search functions. This works really well. If you add something like inurl:f=25 to your query, you will restrict it to Propeller queries only.

    Regards,
    Xander

This is a big file and it takes some time, until loaded with OO. I just made a test: Export with file>save as> .html to a local folder. Having this folder as a favorite, you can search (^F) for a string and click to the link. That runs quite fast.

You are right, the html file is faster.

Wow. Great tool! Yes, the .html version is way to use this.

Now if we can just get everyone to use descriptive titles for their messages... :)

If you did all the relevant posts since 2006, my hat off to you my friend! I was going to try to make an online DB for such a purpose using phpBB3 forums but this is better!! Thanks for doing this! I appreciate it, thank you.
