DIY Hydra

With winter coming I'm planning a hardware project by making a copy of the Hydra since I already have all but a handful of parts. It'll be point to point wiring with most of the connectors (vga, ps2, etc) mounted on panels and connected to the circuit board via male/female headers. I found a nice protoboard to use that has ftdi usb interface. The protoboard is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery that is recharged through the usb. It has 3.3V 100mA and 5V 250mA power supplies. Will this be enough current for the Hydra?

current if you do something with the Ethernet stuff, then I would use a 3v regulator from
the 5v side to power that.
